Guest Services Sales Manager

Philip Pelusi’s Guest Service Sales Managers provide the leadership and direction to ensure a smoothly run and profitable salon. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day management of the front desk staff and customer service operations and promoting the overall efficiency of the salon through staff education, maintaining appropriate staffing levels and performance standards and ensuring that the salon meets or exceeds its objectives for sales, profitability, and customer service/business retention.    The Guest Services Sales Manager must also ensure that the work environment is safe and clean, that policies and procedures are followed and enforced, inventory and stock levels are maintained, and that they support the mission statement of the organization.

Duties:

  • Ensure that opening, closing and front desk procedures are followed accurately
  • Provide direct supervision of the activities of the Guest Service employees
  • Provide support to stylists and other salon personnel as needed
  • Understand and assist in achieving salon sales and profitability objectives
  • Assist in the proper marketing of appropriate services and products to clients
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting and training employees as needed
  • Follow established security and cash management policies
  • Ensure that the salon work environment is safe
  • Maintain and monitor salon product inventory and ensure that sales goals for inventory are met

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, advanced education preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or a sales/customer service environment
  • Experience setting staffing levels to meet operating/productivity objectives
  • Ability to perform calculations of percentages, addition, subtraction, and the ability to do sales reports and computations
  • Demonstrated experience conducting basic employee training and instruction
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet objectives and follow up on assignments
  • Must present a personal professional and style conscious appearance by meeting company standards for fashion and appearance, and that which customers expect from a full-service salon experience
